Investigators measured telomere length using the mean length of terminal restriction fragments (TRF) in DNA isolated from three tissue sources (white blood cells, umbilical artery, and foreskin) in normal male and female newborns to assess sex differences, tissue synchrony, and inter-individual variation.

What was found
