Sixty individuals underwent diffusion tensor imaging and completed assessments of alcohol consumption, loss of control over drinking, and aerobic exercise participation. Analyses tested the interaction between exercise and alcohol consumption on fractional anisotropy in the superior longitudinal fasciculus, external capsule, superior and anterior corona radiata, and fornix, as well as on self-reported loss of control over drinking.
