[The peptide correction of neurotic disorders among professional truck-drivers].

Researchers evaluated 150 male truck drivers (mean age 43.3 ± 0.9 years) and 150 male metal craftsmen controls (mean age 42.8 ± 0.9 years) using a clinical questionnaire to classify psychic adaptation into stable adaptation, unstable adaptation (at-risk), or stable disadaptation (borderline mental disorders). Following baseline assessment, bioregulating synthetic peptides (cytogens: pinealon and vezugen) were administered to evaluate their effects on psychoemotional status and stress resistance.
What was found
Lorry drivers exhibited significantly higher rates of unstable adaptation and borderline mental disorders than controls, characterized primarily by asthenic, anxious, depressive, and hysterical symptoms. Sociodemographic factors showed no significant effect in either group (p > 0.1). Peptide administration was reported to significantly improve psychoemotional indices, increase resistance to occupational stress, and restore adaptive potential (p < 0.001 to 0.05), with combined pinealon and vezugen showing the strongest effect. Specific quantitative scores and effect sizes for the peptide intervention were not reported in the abstract.
