What was done

Healthy male volunteers aged 45 to 55 years participated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial evaluating the effect of purified Shilajit on androgenic hormones. Participants received either purified Shilajit at a dose of 250 mg twice daily or placebo for 90 consecutive days. Total testosterone, free testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEAS), luteinizing hormone (LH), and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) were evaluated.
