Thirty right-handed participants were assigned to a 4-week left-handed motor training protocol (20 minutes, 3 times per week) either with musical cues (Music Group) or without musical cues (Control Group). Diffusion tensor MRI with probabilistic neighbourhood tractography was conducted before and after the intervention to assess fractional anisotropy (FA), axial diffusivity (AD), and radial diffusivity (RD) in the arcuate fasciculus bilaterally.

FA increased significantly in the right (contralateral) arcuate fasciculus of the Music Group only, with non-significant trends for AD to increase and RD to decrease. No significant changes occurred in the left (ipsilateral) arcuate fasciculus in either group, nor in the right arcuate fasciculus of the Control Group.
