What was found
Both chewing gums produced a significant increase in salivary flow rate, pH, and buffering capacity from baseline to immediately after spitting out the gum. No significant differences were observed between the CPP-ACP and xylitol groups for salivary flow rate or pH. However, the CPP-ACP group showed a significantly higher increase in salivary buffering capacity compared to the xylitol group.
