What was found

Fat and simple sugars: > 20% calories from fat and > 20% calories from sugar. 3. Carbohydrates and sodium: > 40% calories from carbohydrates and ≥ 0.20% sodium by weight. Applying these criteria to the FNDDS, 62% of foods (4,795/7,757) met the definition of hyper-palatable, including items marketed as reduced- or low-fat and vegetables prepared with creams, sauces, or fats.
