Researchers evaluated the role of stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 (SCD1) in subcutaneous white adipose tissue (scWAT) lipid mobilization. They measured lipolysis and expression of adipose triacylglycerol lipase (ATGL) and hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) in C3H10T1/2 white adipocytes treated with SCD1 or its product, oleic acid.
