Individuals with detectable BAT had a lower prevalence of cardiometabolic diseases, with BAT presence independently correlated with lower odds of type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, congestive heart failure, and hypertension. BAT was also associated with improved blood glucose, triglyceride, and high-density lipoprotein levels, with greater benefits observed in individuals with overweight or obesity.
