A Magtein ® , Magnesium L-Threonate, -Based Formula Improves Brain Cognitive Functions in Healthy Chinese Adults.

In a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 109 healthy Chinese adults aged 18-65 years were randomly assigned to receive either 2 g/day of Magtein PS (a formulation of magnesium L-threonate, phosphatidylserine, vitamin C, and vitamin D) or a starch placebo for 30 days. Cognitive performance was evaluated at baseline and day 30 using the standardized Clinical Memory Test.
What was found
Participants receiving the active formula demonstrated significant improvements compared to the placebo group in all five subcategories of the Clinical Memory Test and in the overall memory quotient score. Older participants showed greater relative improvements than younger participants. The abstract does not report exact numerical scores, confidence intervals, or p-values.
