What was done

A 26-week randomized controlled open-label pilot study evaluated 104 patients with type 2 diabetes receiving semaglutide. What was found

Final doses were similar between groups. Only 2% of patients in the flexible titration arm withdrew due to gastrointestinal adverse events compared with 19% in the label arm (P = 0.005). The flexible arm had fewer days experiencing nausea (2.88 vs. 6.3 days; P = 0.017), less asthenia (9.8% vs. 24.5%; P = 0.047), and lower nausea incidence (45.1% vs. 64.2%; P = 0.051). Why it matters
