This prospective observational case series evaluated 42 patients presenting for undereye rejuvenation who received intradermal injections of absorbable polynucleotides (7.5 mg/mL; Pluryal Silk, 2 mL total volume per session). Outcomes were assessed at baseline, 1, 3, and 6 months after treatment using validated FACE-Q patient-reported questionnaires. Adverse events were evaluated 2 days after each treatment session, and changes over time were analyzed using paired t-tests.
What was found
Statistically significant improvements in lower eyelid and crow's feet appraisal scores were observed at all follow-up intervals (1, 3, and 6 months) compared with baseline (p < 0.001; exact numerical scores were not reported in the abstract). Peak improvement and highest patient satisfaction occurred at 3 months following two treatment sessions. Reported adverse events were minimal.
Why it matters
