What was done
The authors conducted a systematic review (PROSPERO CRD42023408194) searching PubMed, Scopus, and Embase through August 8, 2025. They included 29 articles (randomized clinical trials, in vitro, in vivo, and cohort studies) evaluating the remineralizing effect of 38% silver diamine fluoride on carious enamel and dentin of primary and young permanent teeth. Risk of bias was evaluated using Cochrane RoB 2 for crossover trials, an adapted CRIS tool for in vitro studies, and GRADE for certainty.
