Researchers conducted a 3-month uncontrolled feasibility pilot study among five idiopathically infertile couples (10 participants) participating in a film project. The intervention integrated personalized education, product substitutions, weekly coaching, at-home urine biomonitoring, and sperm testing. Urine and semen samples were collected at baseline, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks to evaluate within-person changes in urinary endocrine-disrupting chemical biomarkers (with bisphenol A [BPA] as the primary endpoint) and exploratory reproductive parameters using linear mixed-effects models.

Directional reductions occurred in urinary BPA, mono-n-butyl phthalate (MBP), and monobenzyl phthalate (MBzP) over the intervention period, though the abstract does not report specific numerical concentrations or effect sizes. Limits

The study is severely limited by a very small sample size (five couples) and an uncontrolled design, precluding causal claims regarding fertility or semen improvements. Participation was embedded within a film project, introducing potential selection and engagement bias.
