Effects of Creatine Monohydrate Gummies on Performance and Body Composition in Female Beach Volleyball Athletes.

What was done
Thirty-two female collegiate and professional beach volleyball athletes completed a 10-week randomized controlled trial. Participants were assigned to either a creatine monohydrate gummy group (5 g/day, n = 17) or a control group (n = 15). Countermovement jump (CMJ) height, change-of-direction speed (CODS), body composition, and reaction time were evaluated pre- and post-intervention using mixed-model ANOVA.
What was found
Significant Group × Time interactions were reported for: - Countermovement jump height (p < 0.001, partial η² = 0.34, CrM group improved while controls showed no improvement or declines) - Change-of-direction speed (p = 0.009, partial η² = 0.21, CrM group was faster) - Body fat mass (p = 0.024, partial η² = 0.16) - Body fat percentage (p = 0.015, partial η² = 0.18) - Total body water (p = 0.038, partial η² = 0.14) No significant interactions were found for lean body mass, skeletal muscle mass, total body mass, or reaction time. Why it matters

Limits
